ARRL Board Elects 15th President: Kay Craigie, N3KN

As its first order of business at the 2010 Annual Meeting, the ARRL Board of Directors elected ARRL First Vice President Kay Craigie, N3KN, of Blacksburg, Virginia, as the organization's new President. She will take over the reins from outgoing President Joel Harrison, W5ZN, at the close of the Annual Meeting. In October, Harrison advised the Board that he would not seek re-election.

tough times at CW-HIGH

For example….
Last night JB and I did some CW… The time before last, I thought I really made some headway.. I was very happy with my progress. My hard work paid off I thought. However, last night I stunk up the place so bad I had to call a fumigator in to help with the odor. I know… practice practice practice … I know I have come a long way in the time I have been doing the CW thing… However, I would have thought I would be doing better than I am. That being said, I will continue to have a nightly skid with JB, I will continue to practice practice practice….

DEC 31st will be my last scheduled CQDX NET. it will be a short net, consisting on the “year in review”… I hope the net will be interesting to everyone who listens… I will discuss a few DXpeditions and 1 or 2 contests that I found interesting… Scott KC2NTV

CQDX NET 73

I have decided to reduce the amount of times I do the CQDX Net on the KC2DAA repeater. (146.970)
The amount of “work” that goes into getting ready for it is a lot and very time consuming. The “check-in” count was not high enough for me to justify continuing doing it every other week. I will however do the net when a big contest or DXpedition is scheduled…

Hello Everyone... This is from
Anthony J. Cioffi N2KI:::
Dx Cluster users,
There has been a major fiber optic cable cut in the northeast. Areas are without phone service and internet service. This may or may not affect the N2KI node operation throughout the day and maybe weekend. Fortunately, we are still operational with no interruption of service.

lets hope they fix this b4 the big snow storm... We have lots of HF'ing to do
